	Roger gives the Okay – Protecting portfolios from the devastation of speculative bubbles is a constant challenge for Roger, our senior client adviser. 	Jonathan - swapping the corporate suits for the swimsuits - Jonathan joined GMI as a client adviser after ten years suited up in the financial services and banking sectors. He’s now in the GMI team to catch investors before they enter deep water and steer them away from the reefs that shipwreck many a retirement portfolio. 	Christina - Marathon Woman - Christina has swapped balance sheets for changing baby’s sheets and triathlons with cry-athlons. But it is a nice to be kept up awake at night by something other than quick sale rules for a change. 	Anthony swoops in - Anthony joins GMI on transfer from Tottenham Hotspur, where he filled in time between games with roles in the British corporate finance industry. Anthony is part of the client care team and acts as the parachute for clients who take the jump with GMI. Outside of the office Anthony is a sports freak dividing his spare time between football, squash and mountain biking. anthony@gmi.co.nz
	Lauchie – the Running Man - Lauchie left the rat race of London and joined the GMI Ops team in 2009. 	Bojan - Shark Hunter - Leader of the Ops team, Bojan is charged with ensuring Ops ain't Oops! Bojan brings several years of investment management experience to bear which augments our in-house skill set. 	Just deserts for Natalie - Natalie is another GMIer who has returned home to Wellington after a stint in London. Natalie brings invaluable experience to the Operations team, garnered through 5 years working in back office roles for Man Financial Group. Normally an oasis of calm, she only becomes prickly when the cash rec refuses to rec! As well as playing netball and touch football, she remains an avid traveller. 	Michael - - Mike’s a Chatham Cup semi-finalist and NZ University touch rep, but it’s is not entirely true that he was recruited to bolster the GMIghties football team. 	Dave the Developer – Surf's flat so back to work. 	Jaspreet Sandila (JP) – Mr Suave - JP joins the IT team as Mike’s understudy. He’ll be helping make sure our servers serve, our computers compute and our networks network. He’ll also be involved with technical support for the World by Bike expeditions (“technical support” being a euphemism for having to answer 5am phone calls from Gareth when he is on the other side of the world and his laptop has died). 	Craig’s a big hit (or punch or kick) Known as “the art of kicking and punching”, Tae kwon-do is excellent preparation for life on the GMI IT desk (or in Gareth’s security detail to protect against those climate change cranks). Craig’s been enjoying punching and hitting things hard for 22 years now. 	Stephan - Legal eagle - Stephan brings his legal background to bear on the daily operational tasks - our very own Denny Crane . He passes judgement on cash reconciliation each day and prosecutes the guilty parties that are causing things not to balance. 	Margaret – zooming to the rescue - Margaret has the toughest job in the office – organising Gareth! That his numerous travel arrangements and busy calendar are all executed without a hitch is due to Margaret’s amazing organisational talents and her finely tuned sixth sense of what Gareth needs (which includes whipping across Oriental Bay to pick him up for meetings). 	Sabrina the Bean Counter - Sabrina has swapped the oil sands of the Canadian prairie for the golden sands of Oriental Bay. Having grown up with -40oc winters, she loves Wellington for its balmy weather and tropical climate. Sabrina has been working in the local financial services industry for three years and comes to GMI as our management accountant. When she is not pumping us for information about our expense claims she is busy training for her next marathon. Just don’t call her at 4pm – that’s giggle o’clock. sabrina@gmi.co.nz
	Ruby the Number Cruncher - Ruby comes to GMI from Otago Uni, where she completed a Maths honours degree. Her number crunching skills are both prime and statistically significant, and a sure sine that she’ll calculate forward currency positions with a high degree of accuracy. She also converges conditionally on a number of control and audit functions to ensure none of our reports smell fishy. Venn not at work, she’s no square. She is part of growing club of long-distance runners at GMI, and although she is a keen football player she has yet to make her debut for the GMIghties. ruby@gmi.co.nz

	Karena - that’s Karena, not Karen, or Tarena, or Katrina, or Marina but Karena - Hailing from the Deep South, Karena helps all those people who are worried their retirement is going to consist of milk arrowroots in Bluff. She has worked for several years in the superannuation industry and brings invaluable experience to our KiwiSaver team. 	Anita has both eyes on the carrot Prior to coming to GMI, Anita worked in the banking industry while also studying towards a BCA degree at Victoria. She enjoys keeping busy, and being able to do 10 things at once means she’s in her element at GMI. 	Eliot serves it with a smile On the court or on the customer service desk, Eliot is at your service. He’s a natural at the base line of the court and on the front line at work. When it comes to juggling phone calls, being lobbed emails and paper work, or keeping the team entertained, it’s game, set and match for Eliot. He honed his skills on the dark side (IRD) before acing a job at GMI. 	Salty Dog - well at least covered with salt. Gareth and Jo are currently riding across the northern hemisphere to complete the second leg of “Poles Apart” – their long-planned, Northern Lights roadtrip. gareth@garethmorgan.com
	Chris - Climbing his way to the summit - Chris has the valuable combination of English and economic skills, with a BA (Hons) in English literature and a graduate diploma in economics from Victoria University. Chris is responsible for the core economic forecasts with a particular focus on fiscal policy and trends in household income and expenditure. He has developed a thorough understanding of immigration policy and trends and also participates in consulting projects. 	Susan - Swimming against the tide - Whether she’s crossing the Cook Strait or swimming through a deluge of company research, Susan needs to keep an eye out for the sharks. 	Big Clint - Previously a member of the Ops team, Clint is now crunching the numbers in the Strategy team to see how companies balance the credit crisis tightrope. He has decided to forgo running a dairy farm to see if the grass really is greener in the finance industry. 	Greg – Keeping his powder dry - Greg’s arrival at GMI coincided with markets experiencing plenty of white water and Category 5 rapids. As evident from the photo, Greg’s advice is to hang on tight – there will be calmer waters ahead! A Wellington native, Greg has had 10 years in the financial markets. This was mostly garnered in an Operations function in the United States where he picked up plenty of experience (as well as a true-blue Yankee accent!) Sue - running a good race
- Sue spent many years in Canada, where she started up and ran a communications and graphic design business. She also made headlines when she and her Siamese twin completed a Canadian triathlon. Now that she’s surgically separated from her sibling, Sue’s come back to her native New Zealand and has dived headfirst into managing the communication and marketing channels for all the Gareth Morgan companies.

Michael - Mixologist
- Mike’s degree in neuroscience and psychology is the perfect preparation to work at GMI – it can get a little mad here! In between the BSc and working at GMI, he has taught himself Spanish, ran a bar, completed a post-grad diploma in finance, and represented New Zealand at the Cocktail World Cup. This skill set will be particularly useful handling the Molotov Cocktails that are lobbed his way. He’s even named after a cocktail!
